I would recommend the adjustable gastric band procedure because you don't have to change your diet, it's safe, and it's simple. You still eat the same food, just a lot less. The WLSC staff has been great. They are real supportive and helpful on everything that I needed. They're just a great bunch of people. They've been behind me and helped me with any problems. I heard about the band procedure on TV. They have a seminar you attend before the surgery. They talk to you about what they are going to do and what all is going to take place. It was very informative. After surgery, I spent the night in the hospital and then I was out the next day. I feel great since I have lost so much weight, my knees feel great, my back has been good, just everything. I've probably lost 400 - 500 lbs over the last 20 years with other diets. None of the other diets worked. I've always gained back more than what I'd lost. I chose the LAP-BAND® surgery since all the other diets I tried did not work and it's just been wonderful since I've done it. I feel tremendous. I smile more because I'm happier. I feel great about life now since I've lost all of this weight. My wife has been real supportive and thinks that it's just great. She's behind me 100% - we've been married 31 years. My kids think it's great, too. I've had a lot of people at work tell me that I look great. After they tell me about the way I look I just feel great about it. I feel happy, I'm more energetic, and just want to keep losing.
