My name is Mary and I have gone from a size 24 to a size 14. I am excited to buy new clothes and not have to go to the plus size section. The surgery had made a big change in how I feel about myself and how I carry myself. Since I had the surgery I notice that I look up at people more. I catch more people smiling back at me. I am going to try out for Theater in the Park this summer. Before, I always felt my weight would hold me back. I used to have to take a pain pill to walk through the zoo with my grandson and this was one of the reasons I wanted the adjustable gastric band procedure. Now I can walk 3 and one-half miles or do 30 minutes on the treadmill and I don't have any pain. I wish I could have done this surgery 20 years ago!
