Smiley,
Keep your mouth shut and have some fun with him I know that can be hard but do it. How long has it been that you were banded. My first 100 days have gone great but the last 10 days have been up .5, down 1.5, up .3, up .5, down 2.2 and so on over all I am down a total 1.7 over the last 10 has been crazy any thoughts.
Yes sir, consider my lips zipped.
I was banded 2/29/08. I tried to convince them that I wouldn’t be out of my global time until 2/29/12 as that was the next time Feb. would have 29 days, but they weren’t buy that argument.
My main thought is I remember those times when the weight loss slowed down and they really stunk. At one point I spent 3 months trying to take off 10 pounds. Something I wish I had done was take measurements prior to surgery as I only took pictures. It is during the plateau’s that the measurements would come in handy because what you may find is that even though you are not losing pounds, you are losing inches. Sometimes plateau’s occur simply because your body needs some time to adjust and catch up with all of the positive changes you have made. You might drink some extra water or change up your exercise routine a little bit by going an extra 15 minutes or trying a different type of exercise for a week or so. Your body does have the ability to figure out what you are up to and refuse to cooperate unles you “trick” it so to speak.
Don’t let the scale get you down, if anything use it as a motivator. If you find that you are relying too much on the scale or it is discouraging you, put it away and only weigh once a week. Just keep plugging along and know that you will get there. The nice part about being banded by WLSC is that we have the potential to get a fill once a month as well being closely monitored the first year. I bet once you get your next fill you will see the scale move again. How long has it been since your last fill?
Hope this helps a little bit.
