December’s a great time for reflection, so let’s reflect a little.

Those of you who have had the band have probably learned a lot of lessons about weight loss and what works for you. Over the next couple weeks, let’s share our experiences so that visitors who come to the forum might learn from us.

I’ll go first:

1. Protein is the most important nutritional element and a great way to reduce hunger.

2. There’s a difference between physical hunger and emotional hunger, and I (like many people) have a hard time telling the difference.

3. Obese people face a lot of unfair criticism, and the more I consider that, the more of it I see in daily life.

Those are just a few of the thoughts that spring to mind when I think back on the past year. What are your lessons from 2009?

In 2009 I began to learn to live like a thin person.  Something tells me that there may be some more lessons to learn in this area.  Adam is right in saying that obese people face a lot of unfair criticism, but unfair assumptions are also made about thin people.
