Getting through the holidays

We’ve all survived Thanksgiving, and most of us probably allowed ourselves to enjoy the holiday with a “cheat day,” eating things that would usually be off-limits. Hopefully if you already have a LAP-BAND or REALIZE Band, you were able to eat fewer calories than if you had not.

Surely, if you’re anything like me, you’re also planning to allow yourself another big cheat day on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. And there is a lot of temptation between now and then. How do you plan to avoid it?

Here are some of my thoughts. Help me out by providing your own, too.

I plan to hit the gym more frequently.
I plan to avoid areas at work that normally have snack food free and handy.
I plan to send Christmas party leftovers home with guests so they don’t tempt me for days.

What are your holiday temptation plans?

I need your help, I made it through the holidays and did well but I found out last Thursday that my band has slipped. Mitch took all 9.3cc’s out and now I am not sure what is next. I will go back and see Mitch and my surgeon this Friday to see what the plan will be can any of my friends out there give me any ideas what to expect.  Thanks Pat H.

I am so sorry to hear that.  Fortunately I have no personal experience with this, but it is my understanding that sometimes it can be fixed without surgery.  Hopefully by removing all of your fill the problem will resolve itself.  Regardless, my prayers are with you and I expect to hear an update when you know something.
