  Dr. Stanley Augustin

  A Kansas City native, Dr. Stanley Augustin is an talented surgeon with 15 years surgical experience. A highly qualified Board Certified Surgeon, Dr. Augustin received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. He completed his postgraduate training, internship and residency at Truman Medical Center. He enjoys helping patients to reach their personal goals and lead a healthy lifestyle.
  
  Dr. Augustin will selectively perform the adjustable gastric band procedure on patients who have had unsuccessful bypass surgery.

  Dr. Scott Ellison

  An experienced Board Certified Surgeon, Dr. Scott Ellison is a native Midwesterner. He graduated from the University of Nebraska and received additional training in general surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. He has received numerous outstanding achievement awards including the outstanding residency award from the UMKC Department of Surgery. Dr. Ellison has an excellent surgical record and empathizes well with patients.

  Dr. Lawrence Drahota

  Dr. Lawrence Drahota has practiced advanced laparoscopic surgery since 1987. He was the director of Trauma at Overland Park Regional from 1997-2002 before going into private practice. Dr. Drahota earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and did his internship and residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He is licensed in both Kansas and Missouri, and he is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is also certified for Advanced Laparoscopic surgery and as an Advanced Trauma Life Support Instructor. Dr. Drahota's years of advanced laparoscopic practice have translated to superb patient care.

  Dr. Thomas Hitchcock

  Dr. Hitchcock, with the longest history of weight loss surgery in this area, has experience with many procedures including laparoscopic gastric bypass and laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding. He began using the LAP-BAND® System in 2004, and today having abandoned the bypass, performs the LAP-BAND® Procedure exclusively.
  
  As an associate clinical professor for KUMC, he helped train their surgical residence for 29 years. He was Chief of Surgery and Medical Staff President at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Dr. Hitchcock is a Board Certified General Surgeon, a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
